Piano & Piano — A design that becomes meaning
Founded by Argentine siblings Luis and Daniela Piano, Piano & Piano is a Chile-based design studio with over three decades of experience. Working across branding, editorial, and packaging, the studio operates with a deep sensitivity to materials, imagery, and narrative.
Their approach blends aesthetic intuition with strategic clarity. Each project is conceived as an opportunity to reveal the essence of a brand, creating work that connects, transforms, and communicates beyond the surface.
Ô de VIE — where time becomes form and gesture becomes metaphor
Ô de VIE is a tribute to grappa, not only as a spirit, but as an expression of nature, transformation, and time. The concept reflects the elements that shape the product: water, earth, heat, and the slow passage of time.
The crystalline glass bottle is defined by concentric ripples, inspired by the moment a drop meets water. A quiet gesture that becomes metaphor for distillation, for patience, for process. At the centre, a gilded Ô emerges as a symbol of balance and essence.
Ô de VIE does not seek attention. It invites contemplation.
Material as narrative. A language of restraint
Every material in Ô de VIE is selected with intention. The bottle’s clean geometry and ripple relief express purity and natural movement, while crystalline glass reinforces clarity and permanence.
The label is printed on textured, mineral-like papers: surfaces that recall the earth and connect directly to the artisanal roots of grappa. Finishes are symbolic: copper evokes the still, gold suggests the sacred, and silver expresses purity. Applied through controlled stamping, these elements introduce light and hierarchy without excess.
The palette remains neutral, essential: a reflection of quiet luxury and measured design.
A closure shaped by water – where form captures movement
The closure interprets the moment of a drop touching water: a suspended gesture translated into form. Its organic, fluid surfaces create a sense of movement, soft and continuous, echoing the language of the bottle.
To achieve this effect, the component is produced through 3D moulding of high-transparency technical polymers, simulating the visual depth and clarity of glass or crystal. The result is a closure that appears almost liquid, precise yet expressive.
In Ô de VIE, the closure becomes the final articulation of the concept. Where material, form, and symbolism converge in a single, controlled gesture.
