CAFFO LIQUORICE: When finish becomes identity
Caffo 1915, thanks to its extensive spirits portfolio, has built a strong link between tradition and highly recognisable products. Among its most distinctive expressions, the distillery was the first to produce a pure Calabrian liquorice liqueur — a unique creation defined by its deep black colour and decisive character.
Continuity through finish and form
Designed to extend the visual language of the bottle, this closure focuses on coherence rather than contrast. The objective is clear: to create a seamless transition between glass and stopper, allowing colour, finish, and proportion to work as a single, uninterrupted surface. The result is a closure that completes the packaging rather than competing with it.
Material choice and surface treatment
The head is crafted from beech wood, selected for its uniform grain and suitability for high-quality finishing. Multiple layers of black lacquer are applied to achieve a deep, high-gloss surface — not simply polished, but built through stratification.
This process ensures colour intensity, surface regularity, and a reflective quality that precisely matches the bottle, reinforcing visual continuity across the entire pack. A synthetic shank provides reliability and sealing performance, while remaining visually discreet.
